Display Energy Certificates (DEC’s)

In July 2015, the Government published a guide to new obligations for buildings occupied by a public authority where, from 9 July 2015, the total useful floor area of the building exceeds 250m2 and which is frequently visited by the public.

The purpose of introducing Display Energy Certificate’s is to raise public awareness of energy use in public buildings and to inform visitors to these buildings about the energy use. DECs provide an energy rating of the building from A to G, where A is very efficient and G is the least efficient.

How to obtain a Display Energy Certificate

Our qualified assessors can carry out a full energy assessment of your building and provide you with a detailed report and a certificate. The DEC will show the grade of your building and advise you on where and how to display your certificate.
